This page explains what CodeBook Desk collects when you visit codebookdesk.com or ask us for a sample brief. The site has no accounts, no forms and no advertising.

What we collect

What you email us. If you request a sample brief or write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as your name, business name, city and competitors. We use it to reply to you and to prepare the brief you asked for.

Site analytics and cookies. The site itself does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers and does not set cookies. If that changes, we will update this page.

Server logs. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.

Public information. To prepare a sample brief, we research publicly available information about your business and market, such as customer reviews, your website and your competitors' websites.

How we use and share it

We use what you send us to respond to you and to provide the research you request. We do not sell personal information. To operate the website and provide the service, we use third-party providers and software tools, for example for website hosting, email, and research and analysis. Those providers handle information under their own terms and privacy practices.

How long we keep it

We keep emails and related records for as long as reasonably needed to respond to inquiries and provide requested services. You can request deletion by emailing dillon@codebookdesk.com. We will take reasonable steps to remove your information from our active records, except where retention is needed to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Copies may remain in backups or with service providers according to their retention practices.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you by writing to dillon@codebookdesk.com.

Children

The site is intended for business owners and is not directed to children.
